Portsmouth Tugs

On one of my last nights of my project in New Hampshire I was able to make it to the Portsmouth Harbor and take a sweet shot of the Tug boats that are moored there. I spent a lot of time in downtown Portsmouth dining out at some great food joints, one of my favorite being the The Black Trumpet. I never got a chance to be there during the hustle and bustle of summer but I’ve hear it’s amazing. Anyone traveling to that area MUST TRY the Maine lobstah roll.

Citizen Bank Park

A beautiful afternoon at Citizen Bank Park in downtown Philadelphia. I was able to get to see Red Sox vs. Phillies in what could be a World Series preview. Obviously since I went to the game the Red Sox took the win but unfortunately the Phillies took the series. Great day, great game, and another new stadium to my list. I think only have 9 MLB stadiums left to visit in the U.S.

Philadelphia City Hall

On a quick trip to Philadelphia I was able to get out and explore a bit of the city. Believe it or not this was my first trip to Philly even though I grew up on the east coast, lived in Wash DC for 3 years and have been to basically every major city in the US. Despite being there for only 36 hours I made it to City Hall, Reading Terminal Market, Independence Hall, and most importantly a Red Sox vs. Philly’s game at Citizen Bank Park. I actually have a really cool HDR shot of the field that I will post soon.

For this shot I took 3 images at 1/25, 1/500, 1/2000, ISO 100 at f/5.6. I used Photomatix, Adobe Photoshop, Topaz Adjust and Adobe Lightroom.

Fenway Park – Sox vs. Cubs

You really can’t beat a Red Sox game @ Fenway Park, and you especially can’t beat it when they play the Chicago Cubs for the first time in 93 years! I had the opportunity to attend the 3-game series over the weekend and it was absolutely amazing.

Here’s a shot of a Metra train was on it’s way to the suburbs that I captured along the Chicago River.

This is actually an HDR image created from 3 images with different exposures and then modified to be only grayscale.

Merchandise Mart

Here’s a sweet shot of the Merchandise Mart situated along the Chicago river. I actually went out to get a few shots of the Chicago skyline at sunset but ended up not having enough time and definitely was not in the right spot for it. If anyone gets a chance to visit Chicago I highly suggest going on the Architecture River Tour which is an hour long cruise along the river where they will point out and talk about many of the buildings, old and new, which make up the downtown area. The Merchandise Mart at one point had it’s own zip code!

This shot is 3 exposures at 1/20, 1/15, and 1/25 shutter speeds at f/4.0. I used Photomatix, Topaz Adjust, Topaz Denoise, Photoshop CS5, and Lightroom to make adjustments.
